My world is created in awe of both mother nature and motherhood.
I'm influenced by the children's book illustrators,
Jim Henson and Tim Burton creations,
and sci-fi classics that mesmerized me as a child of the 80's.
I'm also influenced by the comic book artists I've found as an adult.

Occasionally, you'll find a parental figure in my work that's protecting it's young,
but more often you'll see two creatures sharing light, knowledge, and curiosity.
My relationship and responsibility to my son keeps me motivated.
I want to create a world that he and I will always share.
I'm happy to share that world with anyone who appreciates
the things that don't always make us comfortable,
but draw us in and make us grow.

My process is very playful. I love getting messy and rarely have a plan
for my work. It does usually start with many hand drawn elements that I scan in
and later use to create digital collages. All of my pieces are made with mixed media.
I use pencil, ink, watercolor, charcoal, and acrylics.
I love storytelling through my work,
but most of the story is left to the viewer's imagination.

Currently, I have 2 Volumes of a children's space adventure series called Side Trip
and an ongoing table at the Providence Flea Market in Providence Rhode Island.
You can find me and my work there most Sundays from 11-3.
I love talking to and sharing ideas with my patrons and fellow artists.
